This amplifier sources some watt of Power to a loudspeaker when powered from the 220 (240) VAC power line. It is used in small phonographs (portable) of the years 50 and 60. The circuit needs no power transformer. The 750 ohm resistor is used to allow the 220 V of the power line heat the tubes.
