This receiver was found in a Radio Experimenter Magazine published in 1950. The circuit can pick local MW station using a long antenna. The phone is a high impedance type (2 000 ohm) and the coil formed by 80 turns of AWG 30 wire in a form of 1” x 3” without core. The padder can be replaced by a common variable capacitor. Power comes from a 1,5 V cell for the heaters and 3 9 V cells in series for the +B.
