Broken terminals in sockets can be recovered if the reader find the same parts of other sockets. Thus, a bad socket with terminals, such as the type used with integrated circuits can serve as a good source terminals for recovery. The terminals may be taken with some caution, as shown in Figure 1 and used to replace those that are damaged in other sockets.
The same is valid for sockets of small lamps that can be recovered from good parts recovered from sockets not in use.
