Description:
This package contains six Schmitt Triggers [inverters]. The snap action of this circuit makes it ideal for noisy or slow change signals and also for monostable and astable multivibrators.
Functional Diagramg and/or Package:
Pin Names:
Vdd - Positive Supply Voltage (3V to 15V]
Vss - Ground
A1, A2, A8, A4, A5, A6 - Inputs
O1, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06 – Outputs
Truth Table:
A | O |
0 | 1 |
1 | 0 |
Operation Mode:
All inverter in this package are independent.
The output of each inverter is “0” When the input is “1” and vice versa (see truth table).
Electrical Characteristics:
Other Devices:
The 4093 can be used in the same functions if the inputs are connected together or one input is held at “1”. The difference is that you'll have only four inverters in one package.
Applications:
Oscillators (Astable)
Monostable Multivibrators
Wave and Pulse Shapers
Logic Functions
Observations:
This device presents a snap action when triggered. This is due the “hysteresis” or the difference between the positive voltage and the negative voltage.
