The neper is also a dimensionless unit. The neper is used to express power ratios, but using the natural logarithm or logarithms in the base e = 2,61828.
The following formula is used to calculate power ratios in nepers.

Np = 0,5 x ln(Pout / Pin)
Where:
Np is the Power ratio in nepers (n)
Ln is the natural logarithm (Logn)
Pout is the output Power in watts (W)
Pin is the input Power in watts (V)
