A high-frequency square wave oscillator using an LC-tuned circuit is shown bellow. The upper frequency limit for this configuration is about 8 MHz when powered from 10 V supplies. The lowest value recommended for C is 47 pF. Due to the high-frequency operation, the output isn’t a perfect square signal.
