The scratch is the noise of scratching or scrape that occurs when scratched vinyl records are played on a turntable. For the recovery media, passing the vinyl records content to your computer or other media, a bass filter as shown can be helpful. The transistor can be the BC548 or equivalent. The circuit is found in an old 1986 publication and has been modified to operate with newer components. The supply can be made with battery or source, as the consumption is very low. Input cables and signal output must be shielded. Two units, one for each channel must be mounted for a stereo version. The power source may be common to both units.
