This simple radio receiver can pick up AM stations in the MW range from 520 to 1600 kHz using a small long-wire antenna. Coil is formed by 100 turns of 28 AWG wire on a ferrite core. Power supply is formed by 2 or 4 AA batteries. CV is a varaible capacitor such as the ones found in old transistor receives.
