This preamplifier is intended for the use with magnetic pick-ups. Power supply must have voltages in the 6 V to 12 V. Dual supply must be used. The input and output cables must be shielded to avoid hum. C depends on the tape speed. For 3 ¼ use 1n5 and for 7 ½ use a 910 pf capacitor. Gain is about 200.
