The Toshiba TLP577x series consists of an infrared photo-emitter (IR) and a sensor integrated circuit (high-gain photodetector) installed in a 50% SO6L enclosure smaller than the equivalent 8-pin DIP enclosures.
The device presents as important characteristic its high rejection to transients of + - 35 kV / us and can be directly coupled to a microcontroller without the need of buffer.
The supply voltage goes from 10 to 30 V and the drain current is 3 mA (max). Among the applications, we can mention the energy conditioning in photovoltaic system, AC servos, motor drivers, industrial saws, etc.
