In the figure we have a line receiver circuit (twisted pair) with the possibility of interconnecting stations up to 5 000 feet (approximately 1,600 meters). The output is compatible with standard TTL logic and the baud rate can reach 40 kB / s. The circuit has a common mode rejection and an insulation of 2500 V for the frequency of the 60 Hz power grid. The circuit can be used as shield for microcontrollers.
