The purpose of the circuit shown in the figure is to open and close the contacts of a relay intermittently by blowing horns, sirens, oscillators, etc. The circuit is from a 1976 publication. Relays of more than 100 mA should be operated with an auxiliary transistor stage. The supply voltage must be according to the relay used.
