The LM380 is not a modern component and in some cases not easy to find. But if you have one you can mount this amplifier. It sources some watts to an 8 ohm load when powered from 8 to 16-V supplies. The IC must have the pins 3 to 12, as shown in the diagram, soldered in a large copper area of the printed circuit board to act as heatsink.
