For counting to values higher than 16, many 4520 can be cascaded as shown in Figure . The EN output that goes to the high logic level when the count reaches 15 is used in this case. Two 4520s can be cascaded to count up to 258 [’l B x 16]. The maximum input frequency is the same as when the device is used alone.
