With a coil formed by 7 turns of 26 AWG wire this circuit operates in the 27 MHz range. But you can alter the coil to operation up to 150 MHz. The antenna is a piece of rigid wire or telescopic ranging from 40 to 100 cm. C1 is any trimmer in the range from 2-20 to 4-40 pF. XRF is formed by 100 turns of 30 or 32 AWG wire on a 100 k x ½ W resistor. The circuit can be powered from a 9V battery. The tone transmitted (CB500E) is picked up from the output.
