This capacitor leak detector was found at Popular Electronics in June 1991. The magazine no longer exists, but the circuit can be easily assembled with a BC558. The instrument indicates leakage on a capacitor connected at Cx. R1 from 20 to 40 ohms as reference for adjustments.
