Using a PLL this circuit can generate signals of up to 500 kHz which is basically determined by the value of C2. The center frequency adjustment trimpot has a typical value of 100 k ohms. Capacitor C1 has its value determined by the desired response speed to the control voltage variations. The output signal is rectangular.
