I have several interconnected sound equipment, such as an amplifier, pre-mixer, mixer, etc. However, I always have snoring problems. What do I do to reduce these snores?
The most recommended solution is to use a common earth connection between the devices with a thick wire (14 or 16). The low resistance of this wire makes the earth potential of all equipment equal and this reduces the possibility of coupling between sources, the main cause of snoring. Another possibility is to use a screw terminal bar of the special type for earth with thick wires from the earths of each device to this bar and it is also connected to a good earth of the installation.
