When I pass by radars or when I use the horn, my car radio turns on by itself. What could be happening?
The radio receivers of modern cars, especially those that are already built-in as part of the factory equipment, with a circuit included under the panel are sensitive, mainly because they have touch commands on an intelligent navigation panel. This makes the circuit sensitive to transients that propagate through the car's wiring, which also functions as an antenna. Thus, the microwave signal from the radars can perfectly induce command signals in the car wiring that affect the circuit that recognizes its control, making it actuate. Likewise, a beep of the horn can generate transients that do the same. This sensitivity can be aggravated by a failure in the shielding of the car cables. A single defective grounding point can cause this. A check can be done by an electrical and automotive electronics professional.
