I have an amplifier that uses SMD components on a fairly compact board. I was able to identify the firing of a 1k resistor on this board, but I can not do the replacement. Can I use a common 1/8 W resistor in its place as I do?

One way out of these cases, provided there is enough space, is to use a common component in place of the SMD. Carefully remove the SMD component using a very thin-tip soldering iron and tip pliers, as the component is glued to the plate, eventually cutting it in half with a cutting plier, and then soldering the common resistor over the plate by shortening and before doubling its terminals. In article that must enter the site we will teach in detail how to do this. This procedure is valid for other components as long as there is sufficient space.
