This circuit originally appeared in a publication of 1997. With the changes, the circuit can be mounted easily today. The circuit purpose is to separate the bass to excite a separated amplifier with a sub woofer on a home theater system. The amplifier should have at least about 50 W of power to obtain good results. The source must be symmetrical and input cables and signal output must be shielded. The filtering of the source should be excellent. The C capacitors determine the cutoff frequency can have values between 47 nF to 220 nF typically. The input impedance is high and low output impedance with sufficient signal level to excite the most common audio amplifiers.
