Some old analog multimeters use a 22.5 V battery for high resistance measures. These batteries can no longer be found in the market. One solution is this circuit found in a 1987 documentation. It is an inverter that generates 22.5 V from a common 1.5 V battery. The transformer is of type found on old transistor radios.
