Flybacks are no longer misused. However, if the reader wants to recover an old analog television or kinescope video monitor, they may need a flyback tester that these devices are using. The circuit is simple, just wrap a few turns of common wire in the exposed part of the flyback core. With the drive, it must generate high voltage.
