"What is the difference between ceramic or porcelain resistors?"

In fact, porcelain, ceramic and earthenware are products of the same family called crockery, with similar electrical and thermal properties. Thus, they can all be used as a basis for depositing graphite or metal for the manufacture of a resistor. As this material only serves as a base for the resistor, it interferes little in its electrical properties
