I have a radio that stop to operate. Suspect the integrated circuit. How do I test it?
Unfortunately, integrated circuits cannot be easily tested except with an appropriate circuit. There are three ways to check if a circuit problem is in the integrated circuit. The first is to measure terminal voltages after verifying that the problem is not with any external components associated with the IC. For this you need to have a scheme that indicates these tensions. The second is to compare the resistance between the pins of the suspected CI with the measured resistance between pins of a similarly good CI. Finally, if the IC processes signals, it must be verified that the signals are entering the IC and output using signal followers, injectors and an oscilloscope.
